Jane Kathryn Sharp

Jane Kathryn Sharp (nee Steffy), aged 76, passed away on September 4, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born to Robert and Catherine (Harrington) Steffy on July 26, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, she honorably served in the US Navy from 1975 to 1995, dedicating 20 years to her country.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Robert Sharp; children, Robert Sharp II, Michelle (Martin) Jacobsen, and Sean (Julie) Sharp; and grandchildren, Jackson, Shelby, Oliver, and Sawyer. She also leaves behind her brothers Robert (Janice), Patrick, John (Cindy), Tom (Teresa), and Earl (Anne); her sister, Marian Ingles; sisters-in-law Susan Lee and Patricia Benson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Jane was a devoted member of San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church in St. Johns, Florida as well as Holy Spirit Catholic Church when she lived in the area.
Her commitment to service was evident through her tenure in the Navy, where she retired with the rank of Commander. Jane's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she impacted both in and out of uniform.
