Adrian Manuel Cortes was born in Camden, New Jersey on May 26, 1975 and passed away on March 4, 2018. Adrian was raised by his loving mother, Lucy Cruz, grew up in a large & loving Puerto Rican family in New Jersey and New York and graduated from Cornwall High School in 1993. He moved to Jacksonville, Florida shortly afterward, where he made incredible friends, got married and had his two amazing kids, Elena & Ian.
Adrian loved music and played the guitar, bass, and drums. Over the course of his life, he attended hundreds of concerts, danced in dozens of mosh pits and made thousands of great memories.
He was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan and had big love for the Jacksonville Jags. Of all the things he loved, the thing he was most proud of was being a Dad.
Adrian was a big man with a big presence and is now in heaven watching over his grandmother Elena, mom Lucy, daughter Elena, son Ian, sister Alyssa, niece & nephew and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
We will miss him terribly, but there is no doubt that we have all been made better because we knew him.
