Tamayo - Al B. Tamayo of Jacksonville, Florida died on March 8, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born in Pangasinan, Philippines where he attended the University of Santo Tomas before joining the U.S. Navy. While in the military, he was stationed at various bases throughout the world , as well as serving on several ships, including the U.S.S. Forrestal. He was especially proud of his duty as a recruit trainer in the Great Lakes, Il. After serving twenty years in the Navy, he retired with the rank of Senior Chief. He then went on to a second career with the U.S. Postal Service, spending his entire thirty years at JAX BMC. He was a longtime season ticket holder of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and enjoyed spending time with his sons at the game. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dina Almerico Tamayo, and is survived by four children, Douglas (Joyce), Lisa (Donnie), Kenneth (Susan)Jason (Kathy) and along with ten grandchildren. After a Funeral Service will be held 12:00 NOON on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in the Naugle Funeral Home Chapel, his interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
