Annette Ivester DeFoor Mott passed away March 16, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida after a brief illness. She was born in Banks County, Georgia on March 17, 1929 and was a graduate of Franklin County High School. She had a long successful career as a Retail Manager for Myers-Arnold and in retirement was a dedicated volunteer at the International Seafarer’s Ministry in Charleston, S.C.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James “Pink” Ivester and May Bell Shirley, three sisters; Inez Ivester Peyton, Thelma Ivester Addison, Ruby Ivester Ausburn and her brother, Ralph Ivester, her first husband Henry DeFoor and second husband Howard Mott. She is survived by her son Larry DeFoor and daughter Lisa DeFoor Kirby both of Jacksonville, Florida, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins in the Toccoa area.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Taylor Foundation Services, “Continue the Mission” fund, 6601 Chester Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32217.
