Arabelle Hodge Francis died January 15, 2020. She was born on December 20, 1925 to Peter Garfield and Cordia Missouri Hodge in Newberry, Florida. She was one of ten children. Arabelle was a member of Chet's Creek Church. She is survived by her sister, Ollie Poe, daughter Charlene Francis, son Harry Devon Francis (Patty), six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arabelle graduated from the University of Florida and retired from the US Postal Service in 1991 where she was the Director of Personnel for the Gainesville, Florida region.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Chet's Creek Church located at 4420 Hodges Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32224. A reception with food and refreshments will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Arabelle's name to Chet's Creek Church.
