Barry Lynn Kryspin, 72, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2019, after a sudden illness.
Barry was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Edwin and June (Cochenour) Kryspin. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge.
His fondest memories were of the time he spent as a radio DJ for The Mighty 690 WAPE AM.
Following his retirement, Barry could generally be found in his workshop, wearing his gray pocket t-shirt and blue jeans, where he loved to scratch build scale model ships, especially U.S. Navy ships. Several of his model ships can now be found in museums throughout the United States.
Barry is survived by his loving wife, Kandace; brother, Wayne Kryspin (Debbie); niece, Kelly Kryspin; and stepson, Charles Wells.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tracy; special mother, Eloise (Studer) Kryspin; and special sister, Patricia (Wittes) Vollmar.
