Beth Emily Howard

Beth Emily Howard, 61, passed away peacefully into the presence of God on Saturday, November 15, 2014. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the youngest of three children. In June of 1977, Beth graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. She spent the last 8 years employed by Atria Senior Living helping seniors and their families. Over the years Beth meet many wonderful people that shared her love of seniors and just like her high school and neighborhood friends many of them were by her side for the last seven months helping her as only a true friend can do. A special thanks to Home Instead for the loving care given to Beth during her brief illness. Beth was preceded in death by her father, Charles A. Porter; nephew, Kevin Porter; and cousin Bubba Martin. She is survived by her wonderful mother, Eileen Porter; brothers, Sidney Porter (Bobbie) and Charles Porter (Wanda);nieces, Stephanie Coleman and Christy Crews (Michael) and nephew, Adam Porter (Christi). As well as numerous family and friends around the world that loved her and will profoundly miss her. Beth's faith in God was a shining example to all her family and friends. We will celebrate her life with a memorial service at First Christian Church of Mandarin (Disciples of Christ) on Saturday November 22, at 3:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Smith.
