Bonnie Elizabeth Colina, 69, peacefully passed on into the Lord's embrace on December 1, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida after a brief struggle with cancer.
Bonnie was born in Miami on April 29, 1947. She started her family early on and proudly raised children while establishing an exceptional career. She worked in the paper industry for decades, making many dear friends along the way. She and her husband moved to Jacksonville in 1995. Their love and energy drew much of the family to follow them and call this wonderful city home ever since. She continued to touch the lives of those she came to know in her new home. She was an avid reader, loved spending time with family, and made people laugh and smile in so many ways.
Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Marcos Sr., daughter Yvette, son Marcos Jr., her grandchildren Summer and Douglas, her mother Lottie, her sister Brenda, and brother Boyd (Bo). She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
There will be a celebration of her life held from 12 noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday December 11th, 2016 at 3474 Country Walk Drive, Port Orange, FL 32129. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the cancer charity of your choosing. Her family wishes to thank the wonderful doctors, caregivers and staff at Baptist Hospital South and Community Hospice of North Florida for their care and kindness during her last illness.
