Camelia Jenkins Fouraker passed away October 30,2021 after a brief illness. She was 76. She is survived by her daughter, Alden C Fouraker, as well as stepsons, Dr. Bradley D. Fouraker (Vickie) and Herbert C. Fouraker, Jr. Their father was her late husband, Herbert C. Fouraker, Sr. She is also survived by her brothers Roger Jenkins and Frank Jenkins as well as numerous nieces and cousins.
She was a devoted caretaker to elderly family members including her mother, Althea Ford Jenkins, great aunt, Mable MacCarter and aunt Julia Witt.
A life long resident of Jacksonville, FL she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and received her Masters Degree in Education from Jacksonville University. She subsequently spent a number of years as an elementary school teacher at Atlantic Beach Elementary School followed by a long career in local business managing her own commercial properties. An avid antique collector, she was also the proprietor of an Antique Mall on Jacksonville's Westside.
Through her life she was generous to friends and family. She will be remembered for her quick wit and biting sense of humor.
A rosary service will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 6:30 pm at Naugle Funeral Home, 1203 Hendricks Ave followed by a graveside service, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 3:15 pm at Pablo Mayport Cemetery at the east end of Sandcastle Lane just off the intersection of Mayport Rd and Wonderwood Rd, Jacksonville, FL.
