Carlos Herman Serrano
April 6, 1959 – November 28, 2016;
Carlos Herman Serrano passed away in Jacksonville, FL on November 28th, 2016 at the age of 57. Carlos is predeceased by his father, Jose Serrano and sister, Esperanza Mason. Carlos is lovingly remembered by his mother, Dora I. Serrano; his sister, Teresa (Don) Pattee and brother Leo M. Serrano, brother Vincent J. (Vanice) Serrano and sister Pureza Serrano; brother-in-law Mark Mason; and his fourteen nieces, nephews and grandnieces. Carlos was born in Bogota, Colombia, South America in 1959. His family immigrated to America in 1964. He graduated from Nathan B. Forrest High School. Carlos worked in the family business, Serrano Paint and Body and the auto industry his whole life as a master auto painter, which he considered a great from of art. Carlos looked at the world through poet’s eyes and drew his inspiration from its many wonders as only he could see all around us and from his life’s adventures. His true passion in life was writing, which he did prolifically, whether it was one of his many song lyrics or poems. Carlos valued his family and many friends and gave of himself freely with a kind and generous heart. A memorial service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5752 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, 32244 on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 from 10:15AM – 11:15AM, with Father Robinson Sierra officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society or other local animal care charities.
