Carol, loved her job as cafeteria manager for the Sidney School system. She built a network of women who provided hot home cooked meals at the five schools in the district. She was life-long friends with the ladies she worked with Edith Loller, Nan Launt, Esther Dewey, Hope Leidy, Peg Davidson, Dot Radley, Lola Palmer to name just a few that she stayed in contact with over the years. She promoted the school lunch program advocating a breakfast program, healthy after school snacks and traveling the state of New York educating teachers about the importance of healthy nutrition, with a video, Buy it or Bag it that was filmed in the Sidney cafeteria.
