Carol Ann Williams
September 21, 1952 — August 11, 2024
Carol Williams, born September 21, 1952 in Camden, NJ, completed her earthly mission and passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 71 years old on August 11, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL.
Carol was most known for her down-to-earth personality, motherly demeanor, witty comebacks, amazing cooking and for her great advice. Her favorite hobbies included watching Hallmark movies, scratching scratch-offs, going to the casino, singing along to oldies (especially Luther Vandross), and having a great time with family and friends. She had a heart of gold and made everyone she met feel like family. She showed love to everyone that she encountered and was one of the most genuine, selfless and giving people you could ever meet. She made a special impact on everyone that she met.
Carol was an amazing teacher that loved to inspire and mentor others. For over 25 years Carol taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade for Duval County Public Schools. If you ever had the honor of working beside her or being her student, it was evident that she was born to teach. Undoubtedly, big on respect, she was even bigger on giving unconditional love and support to not only her students but her colleagues as well. Whether it was giving out treats, planning an epic end-of-school party or giving out headlock style hugs, her presence was always full of love, joy and happiness.
Carol was truly one of a kind and will be missed immensely by all that knew her. She was predeceased by her parents Florence Williams-Grant and Elwood Williams & sister Vonda Williams. She is survived by her daughter Cheri Humes, grandson Christian Humes, bonus children Adrienne Allen (Doug), Artice Clay & grandchildren Breanna Anderson(Chris), Alyssa Hentz (Tay), & Alex Adams, siblings Jan Williams, Derrick Williams (Katrina), Gregg Williams (Tamika), Guy Williams, Dolores Williams, Gena Smith (Bernard), Lonnie Williams & a host of additional grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, family & close friends.
