Craig Cushmore Terhune, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend died on June 3, 2019 in Jacksonville FL. He had traveled extensively in the past year, visiting family in VT, NM, MN, NJ, and NYC.

At home in Dunnellon FL he loved spending time by the river, in his woodworking shop, and reading on the porch at home. He was a carpenter, a jack of all trades, and particularly enjoyed refinishing old pieces of furniture. Craig cared for his elderly parents in their final years, a labor of immense love and devotion. He made it possible for them to live at home until they died at ages 97 and 99.

Craig's plan was to travel and move to Jacksonville, a city with airport and train connections. He wanted a home near the beach where he could have a dog like Trevor, his best friend for 10 years. He was in Jacksonville, exploring places to live and set up his shop when he was stricken by a massive heart attack.

Craig is reunited with Trevor now, and with his brother Walter 'Buzz' Terhune, his partner Jo, and his parents, Walter and Grace Terhune. He leaves his sisters Leanora Mead Terhune and Sarah Terhune Stoops; his cousin David Francis Jorlett; his sister-in-law Rose Uzarski; his nephews and nieces, Kendra Kimball Terhune, Wendy Sefert Harvey, Geoffrey Scott Sefert, Leslie Hall Bronsveld, Peter David Hedelund, Margaret Elizabeth McGaughy, Devon David Hasbrouck Jorlett; his grand nephews and nieces, Griffin Sefert Harvey, Grace Von Pape Sefert, Caspar Von Pape Sefert, Sullivan Emmanuel Jorlett, Hazel Maeve Jorlett; and his good friend, Scott Smith.

Craig was blessed with love of family and friends. He rests in peace, having succeeded in duty to community, family, and self. A nurse at hospital reported his toxicology screen was clear - no alcohol, no drugs. That was Craig's toughest life challenge, and he crushed it! In memory of Craig, please treat everyone you meet with kindness and respect. That's how he lived, that's how he would want to be remembered.
