It is with great sadness we announce Danny Joe Higdon (Tiny), 59, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on April 18, 2020.
Danny was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on April 11, 1961. His parents are Leon and Lynn Higdon. He graduated from Sandalwood high school class of '79.
Danny proudly worked as a Motor Vehicle Inspector for the city of Jacksonville from August 20, 1987 till he retried on September 22, 2017. He met some amazing people there that became part of his work family. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him knows just how special he really was. He had a heart of gold. To be near him was to love him. He had many passions, one was building trikes and bikes. He became known as Triker Ox. During this time, he made a helicopter and trike bike that he was most proud of. Another was restoring old cars. His last project he worked on was restoring a 1947 black Chevy which brought him a lot of joy to work on. Music also brought him a lot of joy. He enjoyed listening to southern rock . He even learned how to play finger picking style guitar and harmonica. Lastly, he was an avid stock car racing fan and tattoo collector. One of his famous quotes was "If you have never ate at Bea's in Chattanooga you haven't ate real food!"
Danny is survived by Mother Lynn Higdon, Sister Sue Barry, Brother Terry Higdon wife Linda, 3 Daughter's April Dibeler, Tammy McMurphy, Emily Jones, 8 grandkids, 1 Nephew Sean, 3 Nieces Amelia, Deanna (Chad) and Misty, and many cousins and friends.
Danny is preceded in death by Father Leon Higdon, 1 Daughter Rosemary Jones and brother in law Michael Barry.
