David (Dave) Carmen Carlson, 75, passed away on May 3, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL.
Dave was born in North Tonawanda, NY on November 12, 1946 to Alice and Carmen Carlson. Dave was a US Navy Veteran, self-taught engineer, and master of many trades.
Dave served as an engineer on the USS Kitty Hawk in the Vietnam War. He later owned and operated Carlson Technical Services. He retired to Jacksonville, FL and was a member of the American Legion, The Moose Fraternity, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
He is predeceased by his mother, father, and his daughter Nancy (Tim) Carlson. He is survived by his sisters Connie (John) Good, North Tonawanda, NY, and Amy (Charlie) Delosier, East Hampton, CT; children, Kristine, June, and Scott Carlson of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Wesley and Samuel McKenney, Great Grandchildren Austin, Gabriel, and Adelaide McKenney, Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and friends, including Harry and Diana Becker, Jacksonville, FL.
A service will be held on May 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to DAV.org in Dave's memory.
