David Arthur Phillips was born March 20, 1964 in Highland Park, Mi to George Phillips Jr. and
Jacqueline Hubert-Phillips the youngest of their 2 children. In the late 80's David accepted Jesus
Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and began his journey into the ministry.
David was educated in the Detroit Public school system, attending Pasteur Elementary, Hampton
Junior High School and graduating from Cass Technical High School in 1982. David then went
on to trade school through Limbach construction company and received his journeyman's card
in skilled trades/sheet metal work where he was a member of local #80 for 20 years then upon
relocating to Jacksonville Fl, he was a member of the skilled trade union there locally. David
took his job and responsibility very seriously as he was a dedicated employee for 30+ years until
his heath started to decline.
David met the former Rennie Bryant in 1991 and after years of building the foundation of trust
and love married in 1997 where she remained devoted to him until his passing.
David and Rennie served at Eagles Way Full Gospel Ministries from 1991-2001 under the
leadership of Bishop Vincent Claxton, upon Bishop Claxton's passing they moved their
membership to New Breakthrough Church International under the leadership of Apostle Donald
Coleman from 2001-2006.
David and Rennie were then both licensed and ordained in 2006 at New Breakthrough
International Church and went on to be pastors leading many to the Lord.
David went home to be with the Lord after a 10+ year fight with illness on Friday July 26th
2024, he leaves to honor his memory is his lovely, devoted wife of 27 years Rennie Phillips, 3
sons Tony Bryant (Starr), Daniel Phillips and Samuel Phillips, Mother Jacqueline Hubert,
Brother George Phillips (Vanessa) Grandchildren TJ, Jayden, Jordan and Namari Phillips a
whole lot of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
