David Lee Rose, 61, of Lake Mary, FL passed away peacefully October 14, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL at The Mayo Clinic following a hard fought battle with cancer. He grew up in Troy, Ohio and graduated from Troy High School before obtaining degrees from West Virginia Weslyan and Marshall University. After graduation, he worked in insurance risk management for many years, food service management and later worked in the construction industry. He married his wife Rebecca in 2004 and enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends and family.
He was a lover of all sports and played baseball, football and softball. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, great smile and beautiful blue eyes. He was a very giving and supportive person. If you needed anything, he was always there to help. He had a mischievous personality and loved to banter with people.
David is preceded in death by his parents William Earl Rose and Mary Jane Rose. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Gaines Rose, sister Karen (Kurt) Miscovich, brothers Kevin (Janice) Rose and Danny Rose, daughters Casey (Mitch) Fowkes and Samantha Cooper, grandchildren Brady Fowkes and Selah Fowkes as well as many nieces, nephews and god children.
There will be no service at this time. At David's request, his ashes will be scattered by family at a later date.
