Deborah Ann Cregg, 64-years-old, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018, in St. Augustine, FL after a brief illness. Her strong love for her family, especially her love for her children and grandchildren, is what she will be remembered for most.
Debbie was born on April 10th, 1953 in Muskegon, Michigan to Leon and Gwen Recob. The oldest of 4 beautiful children, she is survived by her brothers Michael and Todd, and her sister Sharon. Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, some may be surprised to learn she reached out to everyone with a helping hand. Yet even as a child, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.
Married for over 20 years, Debbie raised 3 dear children, Katie, Casey and Cory in Syracuse, New York. Possessing a true servant's heart, she faithfully cared for family and friends through performing unlimited loads of laundry, cleaning and vacuuming wherever she was, and still allowed time for laughing and playing. She was the heart of her family, providing never ending love and compassion to everyone that she came across. With a real zest for life, Debby loved time spent with her family, worshiping the beach and sun, playing games especially with her grandchildren, chatting with friends and family, and travel just to name a few.
