Dianne Marie York, 56, of Jacksonville, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at home with her loving partner of 30 years, Debbie Young.
Dianne was born on January 31, 1963, in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of Marjorie Schram York and Edward York Jr.
She grew up and attended school in Gaithersburg Maryland. She excelled in softball and bowling and won numerous awards playing in leagues. She enjoyed all sports and also loved to travel. She relocated to West Virginia before moving to Jacksonville.
Dianne had been employed with Nemours as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor. Prior to that she worked many years at Claims Administration Corporation and served in serval roles including managing claims payments. For years she also had her own painting business, York Painting.
She is survived by her partner in life, mother, two brothers, Edward York III and wife Mary Jo, Bryan York, and niece and nephew, Liz and Lee York.
Dianne was preceded in death by her father and by her grandmother "Grammy" Bertha May Schram and numerous aunts and uncles.
Dianne was a kind and generous person; she was loved by so many. She had a big heart for all animals especially her beloved pets.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you think of Dianne when you perform acts of kindness towards others. She always believed in "paying it forward".
A celebration of Dianne's life will be held at noon on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Anastasia State Park, 300 Anastasia Park Road, St Augustine, FL 32080. Friends and family will meet at the Water Sports pavilion from noon until 3:00. A brief remembrance will be followed by lunch. Please feel free to wear beach attire and enjoy the day at the park in her honor. There is a park entrance fee of $8.00 per vehicle.
