Donald A Griggs

Donald (Donnie) Allen Griggs, 66, died Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Palm Garden of Jacksonville nursing home following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Madison Tennessee, the son of William and Virginia (Wright) Griggs. Donnie was the youngest of six children, Shirley Dean Sapp, Joyce Ann Bowles (d), Doris Christine Savage, Richard Wilson Griggs (d), Douglas William Griggs (d).
Donnie is survived by his wife Jacquelyn Griggs of 35 years, two sons Mathew and Daniel and their wives Wendy and Heather and his sisters Shirley & Doris. He has five grandchildren Sarah, Jake, Katie, Jessie and Josh.
Donnie was a follower of Jesus. Donnie's daily walk in Christ was his best example of showing Christ's love for us. Donnie was a great spiritual leader serving in several churches in the Atlanta area. He also spent many years preaching in a prison ministry. Donnie was loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed, but we know he is happy and rejoicing with his heavenly Father.
He was CEO and co-founder of Faith Academy, a private Christian high school in the Atlanta area for 32 years.
Donnie's passions were his love for Atlanta Braves baseball and classic antique cars, including his '67 Chevy Impala.
