SWANSON Douglas David, 28, a Jacksonville native, passed on December 14, 2014.
Douglas was born October 10, 1986 in Mineola, New York to Sheril (Robinson) Swanson and Paul Swanson. Douglas enjoyed spending time with his family and friends along with his beloved pet, Rex. He worked as a Merchant Mariner, on tugboats all over the East Coast. Douglas enjoyed life and spent each day making it the best day possible. He had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves us rich in memories.
Douglas is predeceased by his grandmother, Peggy Robinson and his grandfather, Howard Robinson Jr.
He is survived by his wife Laura (Joyce) Swanson, his son Bryce Roumillat, his father, Paul Swanson, his mother, Sheril (Robinson) Swanson and his sister, Virginia Swanson
The family is requesting donations, in lieu of flowers be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society. Arrangements are made under the care of Naugle Funeral Home (904) 396-1611. A memorial will be held in Douglas' honor at the funeral home Saturday, March 21st 2015 at 2:00pm.
