E Shirley Gaudio, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021. Born April 11 1942 in Shenandoah Pa. Shirley was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, Immaculata College and Capella University.
Shirley is preceded in death by her only child, US Army Captain Jeffrey Bnosky and her parents John Koval and Vera (Rich) Koval. Captain Jeffrey Bnosky was a 1991 causality of Operation Desert Storm in Kuwait. Shirley was a proud member North Penn Chapter of "American Gold Star Mothers".
Shirley is survived by her husband Carmen Mazzeo, his two surviving children James Mazzeo and Jeannette Colgan and eight grandchildren; her sisters Elizabeth J Pedriani of Stuart, Florida and Dr Barbara A Grazel and her husband John D Grazel of Barnesville Pa. Their children John D and Dr Anthony J Grazel and their wives
Shirley was a bright and diligent worker with many years as north east regional field office manager and recruiter with Prudential Insurance Co. After retiring from Prudential, Shirley started her second career as a consultant with Prudential Insurance assigned here in Jacksonville. Never one to stop, Shirley then started with Microsoft as administrative manager and recruiter for offices coast to coast.
After her winning her initial bout with breast cancer, Shirley attempted retirement again. However, not one to rest long, she eventually became office manager for 21st Century Oncology until her recent illness.
For 23 years, Shirley was a Jacksonville Jaguars season ticket holder and active participant in their off-field activities. She also enjoyed local theater, concerts, travel and relaxing at home. She supported Breast Cancer research and support organizations.
There are no services at this time.
