Elmer Thomas Hansen, Jr

HANSEN, JR Hansen, Elmer Thomas, Jr. “Tom,” passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2014, after a brief struggle with cancer. Tom was born on October 3, 1933 in Stacy, Minnesota, the youngest child of Elmer and Mabel Hansen. At 17, he joined the Navy and served as a Photographer’s Mate. After leaving active duty, he continued to work as a photographer and videographer at NARF - NAS Jacksonville for 30 years. Tom was married in 1971 to Joyce Cameron Hutcheson. They were avid motorcyclists and members of the Bold City Motorcycle Riders and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association for many years. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Joyce and his sister Toni. He is survived by: two sisters, Bette Allen of Minneapolis, MN, and Joyce Johnson of Tipp City, OH; a stepson and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Lane 3 on Monday Dec 15th, 2014 at 10:00 am.
