Emagene Frances Johnson (Jeanie), 91, of Louisville, Ky
passed to spirit on February 27, 2024, HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida.
Born to the late Samuel V. Jones & Fannie F. Dennison-Jones, she is also preceded in death by her infant son Ronald Johnson, great-grandson Austin M. Keith, siblings
Clara M. Bragg, Virginia R. Poynter, Mitchell Jones, Irene Walden, and former husband William R. Johnson (Raydo).
She is survived by her daughter Debra L. Keith Jordan, grand-daughter Tonya M.
Keith, great-grandson Aiden A. Keith, great great-grand daughter Julia I. Keith, her
precious fur baby Oreo, and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Emagene had a passion for work and life with a diverse career serving 18 years in
bottling with Old Fitzgerald Distillery, years of service in hospitality with Executive Inn
East, serving in home health through VNA, Granny Nannies, Home Instead, and above
all a love for serving in Guest Services with Churchill Downs, Louisville, Ky.
She is a source of strength and inspiration to others as she never tired of having fun,
traveling, working, and helping others until the age of 85. She leaves an impact on the
lives of those she served, her family, and her friends, and will live in our hearts and
memories forever.
A public visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024, 11a.m. - 2p.m. followed by
funeral services beginning at 2p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown
Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. Placement in Resthaven Memorial Park will be at
12:00pm on Monday, March 11, 2024
