On Monday February 10, 2020, Frankie P. Dugger, loving mother and friend, passed away at age 87.
Frankie was born November 8, 1932 in Sylvester, GA to Emerald Douglas and Annie P. Pye. Frankie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Herman P. Dugger Jr., her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
Frankie is survived by her three children, Linda D. Goad, Vickey S. Stern, Mark A. Dugger and their spouses, Ronald Goad, William Stern and Malissa Dugger. She has three grandchildren Christopher Braddock, Daniel Dugger and Amy Beverly Dugger. Frankie also has six great-grandchildren Marley, Natalie, Benjamin, Ethan, Seth and Mia.
Frankie graduated from Sylvester High School, she was very outgoing, had many friends and was voted Most Popular in her senior year. She loved the sport of basketball and was on the girl's basketball team, which landed her a basketball scholarship to the University of Georgia, but love got in the way and she married the love of her life Herman on November 3, 1950 and started a family.
Frankie worked for many years at the Jacksonville Blood Alliance and JC Penney. She loved the outdoors and spent countless hours doing yard work. She enjoyed mowing the yard on her big green John Deere tractor. Frankie also loved country music and dancing. In her younger years, she and Herman would go out on Friday and Saturday nights "juking" as she called it. The Hully Gully was her favorite dance move and boy could she move.
Frankie will be sorely missed by all, but her beautiful smile and fiery spirit will forever live in our hearts.
A celebration of Frankie's life will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Naugle Funeral Home, 1203 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, FL.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Associate would be greatly appreciated.
