Our Mother did not have a lazy bone in her body and never left anything for tomorrow. At the tender age of eight she rose early in the morning to help with household chores, assist with her mother's small business, and even collaborated with her father at his demolition company.
In 1970, she emigrated to New York City in search of a better life for her family. She worked hard her entire life and although she retired at the age of 84, she always kept busy at home. Georgina was a very organized woman who kept her home and belongings in perfect order. She enjoyed knitting blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a green thumb and loved to spend time in her garden growing flowers and plants, which she often shared with her family on video calls.
Above all, she put her family first as a devoted mother of five children. She was always present for her children and grandchildren, regardless of the circumstances. She supported her family by laughing with them through the best of times and crying with them through the worst of times.
Her family and friends remember her as a sweet, kind, tender, affectionate, cordial, gentle and loving woman. She was always ready to give unconditional help without asking for anything in return.
Georgina was the beloved mother of Rubi, Rafael and Helena, proud grandmother of Pavel, Dominic, Gina, Brian, Georgina, Eric, Diogenes and Eireen, loving great-grandmother of Andrea, Julian and Caroline, and loyal sister to Aurora, Esperanza and Jorge. Predeceased by her siblings Jaime, Gloria, Trinidad, her children Georgina and lvaro and her granddaughter Andrea.
