Gracia Ferreira, at 71 years of age, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023 in her bed at the
River Garden Hebrew Home, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 27th, she brought
immense joy and touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever
remembered for her extraordinary kindness and the countless memories she created.
Gracia's life was a testament to her remarkable character, resilience, and compassion. She
approached every challenge with unwavering strength and an unwavering spirit. She had an
infectious smile and a kind heart that made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Throughout her life, Gracia was a devoted mother, sister, partner and friend. She cherished the
bonds of family and friends and was always there to offer a helping hand or a listening ear. Her
love knew no bounds, and she had a unique ability to make those around her feel special and
loved.
In her free time, Gracia pursued various passions and interests. She had an insatiable curiosity
for life and was always eager to learn and explore. She loved to crochet as she made beautiful
hats and scarfs for her friends and family. She had a passion for music and loved learning to
play instruments as she practiced with her violin with her brother Fernando while she visited
Brazil. She never really followed in her religion but always said she felt reborn after her initiation
into the Science of Spiritually group. She was very devoted to their beliefs and followings as it
brought much peace and happiness to her.
Gracia Ferreira leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift others. She is
survived by her two sons, Felipe and Gabriel Ferreira: her spouse Ivan Posada, and friends she
made within her congregation, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
The memory of Gracia Ferreira will live on through the stories, laughter, and love shared by all
who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her spirit will continue to guide and comfort us
during difficult times.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Gracia Ferreira will be held on Saturday,
June 10th, 2023 at 3:30pm at Naugle Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Florida. Friends, family,
and acquaintances are invited to join in commemorating a life well-lived and to share memories
of a remarkable person who made an indelible mark on this world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's
Foundation and the Science of Spirituality in honor of Gracia Ferreira.
As we bid farewell to Gracia Ferreira, let us remember the lessons she taught us-to love
unconditionally, to embrace life's challenges with strength, and to always cherish the moments
