Harold Camp "Bucky" Arnold (Manford Jr.)
October 17, 1945 - March 2, 2024
Bucky, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024. He leaves behind his wife, Brenda; two sons, Camp and Cole; two grandchildren, Bodhi and Maya; and two brothers, Walter Jr. and Mark. He was a loving, dedicated husband and father and a native of Jacksonville, Florida.
Bucky served in the Army as a combat medic treating burned and wounded soldiers from the Vietnam War. He earned a law degree with high honors from the University of Baltimore and practiced law until he was appointed judge for Duval County in 1988. He served on the bench for 25 years until he retired in 2012. He was surrounded by a loyal staff that he admired deeply during his time on the bench. Fellow county judges remember him as the "best case management county judge Jacksonville ever had."
He had a passion for lobster diving, long-distance running, muscle cars, and adventures with his family. He was an avid Florida Gator fan.
Bucky was preceded in death by his father, a highly decorated Navy pilot, Harold Camp "Buck" Manford, his mother, Doris Meadows Arnold, his stepfather, Walter Arnold, and his sister, Terry Ann Tremps.
We invite family and friends to celebrate his memory with us at Christ's Church (6045 Greenland Rd, Jacksonville, FL) on April 6th from 11-1. Please dress in whatever attire best celebrates the memories you shared with him (Go Gators!).
