Helen B Jowanna, 88 passed away on August 4, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on January 25,1932 oldest of seven siblings plus three step sisters with only the youngest surviving. Married in 1951 to Alexander Jowanna who worked on the Pennsylvania railroad. She worked in shoe and cigar factories before moving to Jacksonville in 1966 with her family. Getting involved with the German Sheppard Club of North Florida, she raised and shown a champion in obedience winning dozens of first place trophies and countless ribbons. She became a home health aide for the elderly and enjoyed serving and ministering to them. Helen attended Christ the King Catholic Church for fifty years. Serving as a volunteer in the church gift shop or what ever else was asked of her. She raised four children whom she is survived by, two sons, Alex Jr, Thomas and two daughters Joyce and Tina. She also has seven grand children and four great grand children. Helen was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly.
