Helen Mays Parramore MacDonell died on April 2, 2017. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 11. 1924, to Dr. William F. Parramore and Elizabeth Mays Parramore.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. William F. Parramore Jr., her sister Agnes Parramore Armstrong, daughters Logan MacDonell and Cameron MacDonell, and son-in-law, Philip T. White
Helen is survived by her son, Rory A. MacDonell (Dianne) and daughter Morgan M. White, grand children, Heather MacDonell Forrester (Ronnie), Shaun MacDonell (Mindy), Bailey White Dean (Mitchell). MaryAshley White Hamburg (Corey), Taryn MacDonell, Olivia MacDonell, and Emily MacDonell, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Helen graduated from Lee High School and attended F.S.C.W. where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was a member of the first graduating class of U.N.F. with a B.A. in psychology. She worked as a social worker and a teacher.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, April 25th at Oaklawn Cemetery, followed by a reception at All Saints Episcopal Church, Hendricks Avenue.
