Helen Arvel Kirkpatrick Simon peacefully passed away on June, 4, 2024 at the age of 96. Helen was born on August 8, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida to Edward
Francis Kirkpatrick and Maggie Crum Kirkpatrick.

Helen was the executive director of the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Appraisal Institute from 1975 until 2014 and for many years was the executive secretary of the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers. Helen was active participant in the rummage sales at the First Christian Church in Mandarin.

Helen was an avid reader and loved to cruise and travel the world with her husband Jerry. Family will remember her for homemade pecan pies, garage sales, word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, love of fashion, and the Virgin River television show.

Helen is predeceased by her loving husband Maurice Jerome Simon and son David Jones and son in laws Tommy Bowden and Allen Scott. Helen is survived by son Allan Jones (Mary), daughters Darlene Bowden, Janet Scott, and Jeri Anne Keating (Carl), brother Harry Kirkpatrick, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services at Mandarin Cemetery at 12135 Mandarin Road on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 2:30 pm. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements entrusted to
Naugle Funeral Home.
