Jackie Evartt

Our Big Papa, Jackie Dale Evartt, 68, passed away on October 10, 2020 in the arms of his best friend and wife, Dahl Evartt. Jack was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Texas had a tight lasso around his heart and Texas will always be a home for the Evartt Family. Jack was a man of great character. He lived his life through and through based on principle. He joined The Marine Corps in 1971 at 18 years old, and he always made sure to pay his tribute and show how thankful he was to them for turning him into the great man we all know and adore. He retired from The Corps in 1993 as Master Gunnery Sergeant. He met the love of his life, best friend, and life partner continued his work with the US Government and began creating his family.

He raised and guided his family with his courage and strength. He told us “Once a Marine, always a Marine” and he was always our Marine that would protect and watch over those he cared for. Jack shared his passions with his family and for that we feel lucky to have learned how to be Papa strong.
