Janice "Lynn" Goldwire, 63, left this world peacefully on February 27, 2018 knowing how much she was loved. Lynn was under the care of hospice. She now joins loved ones that passed before her; her beloved father Bill Fischer, mother Rudine Breeden, husband Kip Goldwire, brother Mickey Fischer and some good friends who will be happy to see her. She leaves behind those so precious to her, daughter Jennifer Ware (Christopher) and granddaughters Anna and Libby Ware, who were the center of her universe; brothers Greg Fischer (Cindy) and Richard Fischer, sister-in-law Kathy Fischer, step-mother Carol Jane Fischer, nieces and nephews Kelli Cooney (Jimmy), Austin Fischer (Alicia), Ava, William, Elsa Fischer, great nephew Hudson Fischer, and a multitude of close friends who adored her.
Lynn was a life-long resident of Jacksonville. Born October 4, 1954, Lynn was a graduate of Wolfson High School, where she was a majorette, and the University of North Florida. She taught kindergarten for 36 years in the Duval County Public School System, with most of her service at Spring Park Elementary. She loved being in the classroom and working with her students, especially those that needed a little extra attention. She always had funny stories about "her kids" and made life- long friends with many of her co-workers.
Some of her happiest times were spent with family and friends at Spring Lake in Keystone Heights, going on trips around Florida and to the Bahamas, attending concerts, and working in her yard. Most of all, she loved spending time with her daughter, son-in-law and her grandbabies. She was a very social person. She would strike up a conversation with anyone and considered everyone a friend, whether she knew them 30 minutes or 30 years. Lynn was admired for her independence and strength. She always did for others before she did for herself and never thought anything about it. Lynn was a rare person because she had no malice, cynicism or complaints. She chose to see the best in everyone and the bright side of life, no matter her circumstance. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed.
Services will be held for her at Southside United Methodist Church, 3120 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville 32207 on Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m., followed by a reception in the Church garden.
Arrangements under the care of Naugle Funeral Home, 1203 Hendricks Avenue Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
