Jean Porter Sellers

Jean Porter Sellers, 83, passed away on Wednesday April 19, 2017, at St. Catherine Laboure Manor, under the recent care of Community Hospice & Palliative Care.
Jean was the oldest of four children born to parents Howard Manley Porter and Zelphia Louise Porter. Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Jean graduated from Robert E. Lee High School as Salutatorian of the class of 1951. Jean was a paralegal for attorneys Frazier & Frazier for 35 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Downtown and later attended Lakeshore Baptist Church.
Jean was pre-deceased by her parents; sister Janice (Jim); and sons Mike and Steve. She is survived by her daughter, Donna; brothers Stanley (Barb), and Ramon (Pat) (Ramon has since passed away); grandchildren, Gene, Audrey, Stephanie, and Trina; 3 great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
Jean exemplified kindness and graciousness throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
