Jay was welcomed into heaven by his Mother and Step-Father Brenda and Mike Hollingsworth, his Grandparents Jesse and Doris Sawyer and Harry and Fern Hardesty and his Great Grandmother Eunice Black.
He leaves behind those that loved him, his Wife Betsy Hardesty, his Children DaeHan Hardesty, Ornella and Estefano Munoz, his three Sisters Melissa, Katrenia and Traci and Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many, many cherished friends.
Jay fought a long battle with brain cancer and has made it possible for new discoveries to help those after him increase their chances of survival by his willingness to take part in many trials and treatments. Jay was a strong fighter and faithful person. Jay was a life long Seattle Seahawks fan and was able to fulfill a dream of seeing the northern lights and riding the Alaskan Railroad. He loved animals and all those around him. He was funny and a practical joker. He was always ready with a funny quip and ready to help. He now rests in the arms of Our Father. We all now have our own heavenly angel. In lieu of flowers, please donate to ASPCA, WWF, and any cancer research fund that touches your heart.
