Jesus Rivera Alvarado

Jesus Rivera Alvarado, 70 years old of Jacksonville, Florida passed away from Lymphoma on Friday, December 11th, 2020. He was born January 02, 1950 to Leopoldo Rivera and Dolores Alvarado in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. He first married Carmen E Ortiz and had two daughters; Damaris & Jessenia. In 1986 after becoming a widower Jesus moved from Jersey City, New Jersey back to Barranquitas, Puerto Rico where he took on the task of raising his two daughters with the help of relatives. In time he remarried and divorced a few times thereafter without ever wavering at the responsibility of raising his daughters. Over his lifetime while in New Jersey he worked in different factories but spent the majority of his time working at Sellers & Joseph where wallpaper was fabricated. While in Puerto Rico he excelled as an entrepreneur managing multiple businesses as an exterminator and in food service establishments. Jesus Rivera is survived by his daughters Jessenia Payan, Damaris Santiago. Five grandchildren Edwin G Lopez, Jean C Lopez, Mia S Santiago, Dariel E Walker & Javier A Santiago. He also lived to meet 2 great grandchildren, Akira D Lopez & Ocean E Lopez. Jesus lived a full life appreciated by many whom he helped and partied with along the way.
