Joanne F. Joseph

Joanne Battista Joseph, 77, received her angel wings on August 22, 2017 after an extended illness. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she left this world surrounded by family to join the family and friends who have gone before her and who were waiting for her with loving arms. While she was quick with a joke and loved a good laugh, she was fiercely protective of her family and had many close friends from her activities at Assumption Catholic Church and her work in the insurance business at Independent Life.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Lucy Battista, a brother Richard Battista, her former husband Wayne Joseph and the partner she shared her later years with, Harry Martinez. She is survived by her brother Don Battista (Andrea), her four children Donna Henderson (Tim), Terri Trosell (Greg), Jean Joseph, and Wayne “Buddy” Joseph (Dawn); grandchildren John Bell III (Crystal), Kimberly McDaniel (David), Diana Nicole Forrest (Josh), Michelle Joseph Roman, Cammie Joseph, Alexander Beech, Robert Shepard Jr, and Isabella Joseph. She is also survived by great grand children Isaiah, Tristan, Ashley, Elizabeth, Jayla, Blake, Elijah, Haden, Lyric, and Melody and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the chapel at Naugle Funeral Home. Family will be available to meet guests before and after the service.
