John Michael McAndrews, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, died November 12 at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born November 9, 1947, to John J. and Gladys D (Crosby) McAndrews. He was a 1965 graduate of Robert E Lee High School and attended junior college in Palatka. He worked for over 20 years for the city of Jacksonville Department of Aging as a driver. He was devoted to his clients and had many friends among them. He is predeceased by his parents and his son Brian McAndrews. Survivors include sister Patricia McAndrews Rung and her husband David Rung of New York City and Southampton, NY, son Paul Michael McAndrews of Yulee, cousin Beth Rowe, and maternal aunt Mildred Harden (Glen St Mary, FL). He was cremated and his remains inurned at the gravesites of his parents in Riverside Memorial Cemetery. Rest In peace, dear Johnny (Butch).
