John Vogt
June 30, 1945 — March 11, 2020
John Joseph Vogt was born June 30th, 1945, in Queens, New York. He joined the service in 1966 and served his country honorably.
His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him a Vietnam Service Medal and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a Rifle Expert who bravely protected his fellow service members. He was discharged with honors in 1972.
John passed away on March 11th, 2020, in Baptist South Hospital after a battle with cancer.
John is survived by his wife, Jane Vogt, his daughters Andrea Sandven and her husband Barry Hollie, and Roseann Kelly, and his grandchildren, Jaden Sandven, Cade Hollie, Dana Kelly, and Kenny Kelly.
