Joseph Paul Kacmarynski Jr., 64, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on September 10, 2018, due to complications from cancer. Joseph was born in Des Moines, Iowa on November 16, 1953. He graduated from Dowling Catholic High School and joined the United States Navy immediately following graduation. He served in an active duty capacity from 1971 until 1975 and then served in the United Stated Navy Reserves from 1975 until 1979. After his service to the country, Joseph worked as a computer programmer for the majority of his career. He enjoyed motorcycles, he owned several Triumph Motorcycles, and classic cars, including his prized 1956 Chevy. He also had a great love for cooking, nature, building and fixing things, playing his flight simulator, and spending time with his animals. Joseph was previously married to Terry Susan Kacmarynski (McKinnon) from 1976 until 1993, as well as, Tammy Smith from 2011 until 2018. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Sarah and her husband Daniel of Jacksonville, FL, 2 grandchildren, Leah and Lukas, and stepchildren, Brandon, Corey and Tabitha. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn and her husband Terry of Tucson, Arizona, and by his many nieces and nephews. Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Paul Kacmarynski Sr., his mother, Virginia Lorraine Kacmarynski (Wilcox), and his sister Connie Hartley (Kacmarynski).
The funeral service will be held on September 17, 2018 at 10:30am at Harvest Time Sanctuary of God (4502 Old Middleburg Rd N). Pastor Clarence Jarrell of Harvest Time Sanctuary of God will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at The Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:00pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Naugle Funeral Home.
