Joseph Michael Lauwereins
November 14, 1974 — February 25, 2019
Mr. Joseph "Hippy Joe" Lauwereins passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 44.
Hippy Joe is survived by his wife Erin, his son Trenton, his father Michael, his mother Anna (Taylor), his brother Mark, and an amazing amount of extended family and friends all over the world.
Joe was born on November 14, 1974 in Jacksonville. He lived in Ft. Myers and Miami before returning back to his hometown. He was an incredibly gifted computer / electronics engineer and technician. After meeting his wife and starting a family, he began a decades long career at Florida Blue, where he met many loving friends and co-workers. He was passionate about computers, music, traveling, art and the people he loved.
A Celebration of his Life is scheduled for March 14, 2019 (Pi Day) from 4 pm to midnight at Jack Rabbits 1528 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
