Juanita Frances Casson Wood, peacefully passed to be with our Lord on September 3, 2019, at 8:31 a.m. Juanita was born December 7, 1928, in Arkansas and spent her childhood in Batesville, Arkansas before marrying the love of her life, U.S.N. sailor, Arnold Alexander Wood, Sr. Arnold and Juanita were married for 58 years before Arnold (85) was called home to be with the Lord February 14, 2008. Juanita was a Christian who worshiped the Lord at Cedar Hills Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband Arnold Alexander Wood, Sr., her father, Harry Gaffney Casson Sr., mother, Artie Marie Massey Casson, and her brother Harry Gaffney Casson, Jr. She is survived by her older sister Helen. Juanita was the incredible mother of two sons, Arnold Alexander Wood, Jr., married to Jan, and Thomas William Wood, married to Melinda. She was grandmother to Collin, Brian and Robin, and step grandmother to Charlotte; Lori, Thomas Jr., and Stephanie, and she was great grandmother to Dakota, Graci, Logan; Sarah, Allison, Katherine, and Samantha; Thomas III, and Braydon, and Grace. and step-great grandmother to Tristan. A sweet and gentle spirit, Juanita was the heart and soul of her family, devoted, loving, encouraging and supportive. She loved working with plants and flowers, and she especially loved her pet dogs. She was the wife and mother anyone could wish to have been blessed with. Funeral arrangements are being made at Naugle Funeral Home on Hendricks Avenue. A brief memorial service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218 on Monday September 23, 2019 at 10:30 am
