Wilhelmi, Judith Ann,72, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday May 15, 2013 of natural causes. She was born in Detroit Michigan and moved to Jacksonville FL in 1989.She was a top saleswoman for many years in many different capacities starting as a Real Estate agent in the 1970’s and retired from Bell South in 1999. She was a regular attendee at AA meetings and ministered to the prison population of Jacksonville. She was well known for her candid and powerful shares in meetings and inspired many along their paths of recovery. She passed 24 years sober March of this year. She loved living at Taylor Apartments and volunteered there to make it the best home she could for all that lived there. Most of all she absolutely adored her 7 year old granddaughter Jamie and her cat Kiwi. Judy was a longtime member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Jacksonville where she attended with her family, always sitting in the front row. She especially enjoyed the times she was asked to speak as she loved to give back. Survivors include her daughter Martha Aiken (Michael) of Jacksonville, son Lawrence Venaska of Portland OR, granddaughter Jamie Aiken of Jacksonville, brother Thomas Evans (Robin) of Ft. Meyers FL, brother Robert (Jan) Meyers of Novi MI, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends many of whom were in the AA program. A memorial service will held at 11 am Saturday May 25th at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Jacksonville at 7405 Arlington Expressway, Jacksonville , 32211, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ed Danziger Memorial Building Fund for the UUCJ.
