Julia H Kronquist

Julie, 67, passed away peacefully, immersed in the love of family and friends, on February 22, 2016. Julie was born on March 1, 1948 on the campus of the University of Alabama. Julie settled in Jacksonville in 1973, after attending college at Mercer University and graduate school at The University of Virginia. Julie was an educator for the visually impaired for 37 years, and an active member of Hendricks Avenue Baptist church for 40 years. Her warmhearted, attentive love for others was felt by all those who knew her. Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Jewell Howell. She is survived by her husband, Karl Kronquist; daughters Karla (Roy) Repper and Kay (Greg) Gackle; grandchildren, Caden Gackle, Lucas Repper, Matthew Repper and Avery Gackle, and her two sisters Susan Howell and Debbie (Ted) Hagan.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday 26, 2016 at 11:00am at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, followed by a reception in the church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Outpatient Center at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
