Karen J. Bryant, 67, passed away, Sunday, January 11th, at Hospice’s Earl B Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL. Karen was being visited and comforted by family at the time of her passing.
A loyal and giving friend, Karen loved being able to help others and was very generous and giving with everything she had. She had a lifelong love of reading, learning and engaging in spirited debate. She began working on her bachelor degree at University of Illinois and later graduated from Jacksonville University. While raising her children, she attended the University of Florida and completed all of the course work required for a doctorate in psychology. She later returned to the University of Florida and obtained her MBA. After her children were grown, she enjoyed a successful career in marketing research and analysis. After retiring, Karen enjoyed spending time with friends and pursuing her love of bridge.
Karen is survived by her brother J. Colby Martin of Naperville, Illinois; her children Troy (Catie) Bryant of Jacksonville, FL, Sarane (Chris) Harrell of Tampa, FL, and Mark Bryant of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren Jake and Peyton Bryant of Jacksonville, FL and James and Drew Harrell of Tampa, FL; and her rescue dog Buddy.
