Karroll James Williams ("Jim,") 74-beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 29 th , 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Jim is survived by Kathy, his loving wife of 54 years, daughter Karen and her husband Jon, son Paul and his wife JoAnna, grandchildren-Shelby, Isabelle, Katherine, Andrew, Regent, and Julianna, and brother Wayne.
Jim went through the 4-year apprenticeship electrical program in Virginia and then obtained his
associates in electronics at Indian River University in Florida. He worked very hard as an electrician at several jobs such as Pratt & Whitney, Philip Morris, Palm Beach International Airport, and Palm Beach Sheriff's Office. He excelled in his field from journeyman all the way up through management during his career. He retired to Jacksonville, Florida in 2011.
Jim loved being at the beach and shelling was one of his passions. He enjoyed combing Sanibel Island beaches for all kinds of shells. He also loved to snorkel and could sometimes be seen in the Intercoastal Waterways of West Palm Beach searching for treasure for his aquarium. He enjoyed tropical fish and had several saltwater fish tanks over the years. He had quite the green thumb, taking care of several different types of Orchids. He loved being goofy, making people laugh and enjoyed spending time with
his family.
The viewing will be on Thursday, June 6 th , 2024, from 10-11am at Fruit Cove Baptist Church followed by a memorial service from 11-12pm.
