Kee Juen Eng
October 2, 1950 — May 31, 2021
ENG, KEE JUEN, 70, of Davie, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2021, at Kindred Hospital of Hollywood, Florida, receiving continuous care from his dedicated medical staff. A special gratitude goes to Kee's private primary doctor (Wong), podiatrist (Valdes), dermatologists (Sobel, Sofman, Lev-Tov), cardiologist (Linzer), hematologist (FU) for their dedication and friendship. Kee was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on October 2, 1950. Kee received his BA degree, cum laude, in Business Administration and MBA in Finance, both degrees from Florida State University; JD degree from New York Law School.
Kee was the loving husband of Jean G. Eng; loving father of Kevin Eng (Kari), Kimberly Diaz (Mario), Jonathan Eng; loving grandfather of Stella and Eleanor Eng, Ariana, Mario, Josiah Diaz. Kee was also the loving brother of G. Kelly Eng (Jeannie); brother-in-law Ronnie and Sonny Wong; loving uncle of Allie and Austin Eng and William and Max Wong; loving great uncle of Parker Peacock. Kee is preceded in death by Ting Yew Eng, father, and Sai Lew Eng, mother. Kee is also survived by his many cousins and aunt in NJ, NY, TX, FL, CA.
After moving down to South Florida from Jacksonville in 1985 to become an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Kee became involved with the Asian community. He also was involved with ethnic advisory councils created by the City of Hollywood and the 180 ethnic communities in South Florida. Needless to say, he made a lot of friends along the way. Towards the end of Kee's career, he retired from the City of Hollywood, as the Assistant Director, Budget and Financial Services, on January 3, 2019.
