Kevin Douglas Cordero, Jr., 39, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Monday, June 10, 2024. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on May 9, 1985 to Kevin and Karen Cordero.
Kevin grew up in Jacksonville and was a graduate of Bishop Kenny High School. He grew up loving all sports, playing baseball and basketball for many years. He loved the ocean and was an avid surfer and fisherman. Following in his father's footsteps, Kevin began playing music in his teens. He became an accomplished musician, playing guitar with Mindslip for many years. He also enjoyed playing around on the drums and would frequently (and he's cringing right now) "tickle the ivorys" like his dad!
And, Kevin was a GATOR FAN!
Kevin is survived by his dad, Kevin Cordero, and his momma, Karen Cordero; his lovely girlfriend Kendall Mauro and his lifelong best friend Chris Richmann, aka Beil. Along with his many many friends, we will all miss his smile, his playfulness and sense of humor, his music... heck, we will miss all of him! He has left us too soon.
A Celebration of Kevin's life will be held Monday, June 24, 2024, in the Stockton Rooms A & B, at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, 200 Ponte Vedra Blvd. 32082. We would love his friends to stop by and join us any time between 2pm and 6pm. We will be sharing stories and photos of Kevin. Please bring any favorite photos you would like to share. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kevin's and Kendall's favorite place, The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens.
