Kim Benjamin
June 21, 1956 — September 18, 2023
Kim "Kimmaw" Marie Benjamin, 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, after a very short, hard fought battle with cancer. Kim was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 21, 1956. She was the oldest of 3 children. When she was in her early 20's, she moved down to Florida and never looked back.
Kim was always a hard worker, but her favorite job of all was being a mom and a Kimmaw and she was the best at both! She enjoyed spending time with her oldest daughter and her grand girls and great grand girl, watching her son and his family weigh in at fishing tournaments and listening to her youngest daughter sing on the stage. She bled teal for the Jacksonville Jaguars and was a season ticket holder from 2001 to 2019. She really was their #1 fan. She was also our Hallo"Queen" who loved all things halloween. Most of all, Kim was a lover of the sun. If she'd had her way, she would have had her toes in the sand and a drink in her hand every day, because as Jimmy Buffet says "It's 5 'clock somewhere".
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, her three children and their families (and grand dogs), as well as her many friends she has made throughout the years. Kimmaw's After Party, Her Last Flamingle, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 3pm-6pm at the Margaritaville Beach Hotel, Seagrass Room, 715 1st Street North, Jacksonville, Fl 32250.
