Lawrence J Overy

Lawrence (Larry) Overy Sr. of Jacksonville, FL passed away on September 28, 2017. He was born in East Orange, NJ on August 22, 1956, the oldest child of the late Lawrence R. Overy and Charlotte Overy. He grew up in Plainfield, NJ and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1974. He furthered his education at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Seaton Hall University and Nyack College. Larry made his way into the burgeoning software industry, and used his intelligence and natural leadership capabilities to climb to the top of his field. Outside of his vocation he pursued a number of hobbies: martial arts, motorcycles, snow skiing, reptiles, saxophone, cigars and triathlons. Whatever his current hobby was he researched it extensively, purchased the latest equipment, and engaged it with great passion and laser focus. Larry was a person of faith, a father and husband, and is held in love by his wife, Wendy Overy; mother, Charlotte Overy; his children, Chalice Overy, Larry Overy Jr., and Jonathan Overy; his sisters Laureen Overy and Luanne McRae (Phillip); his step-children, and many nieces and nephews.
A private (invitation only) memorial will be held on October 21 in Tannersville, PA. Flowers will be received at the memorial site from 9 am - 3 pm on October 21 (115 Quail Ln., Tannersville, PA 18372).
